CIC’S DYNAMIC SIGNATURE VERIFICATION SOLUTIONS TO SUPPORT THE BIOSEC OPEN PLATFORM FRAMEWORK
Redwood Shores, CA, January 24, 2000 -
(Nasdaq: CICI) Communication Intelligence Corporation (CIC) announced today
that it has become a member of the BioSEC alliance. Formed in November of
1999 by BioNetrix, the BioSEC alliance is comprised of key authentication
solution providers who have joined together to support an open platform for
authentication solutions such as smart cards, tokens, fingerprints and
signatures. Membership and certification as a BioSEC certified solution will
enable CIC to gain access to a new group of customers and resellers that are
building enterprise level biometric authentication solutions.
David Steinberg, vice president of sales and business
development for BioNetrix and chair of the BioSEC alliance, commented,
"As one of the top players in the field of biometric authentication,
CIC’s membership strengthens the BioSEC alliance. Their electronic
signature solutions fill a gap in e-Commerce and authorization based
workflow applications where we expect large scale rollouts that would
benefit from the back-end integration of our authentication suite."
"We are pleased to become a member of BioSEC and be
a part of the effort to bring standards to this industry," stated Mike
Sullivan, vice president of business development for CIC. "Working with
BioNetrix enables CIC to offer a more robust solution to our enterprise
customers by providing industry proven electronic signature verification
combined with a leading integration solution."
As a member of the alliance, CIC will be integrating its
patented dynamic signature verification solutions into the BioSEC framework
that is supported by the BioNetrix Authentication Suite. For more
