Sign-it® for Adobe® Acrobat®
Sign-it is a software application designed to give Adobe Acrobat users the ability
to embed legally compliant eSignatures in PDFs. Sign-it extends the Acrobat Digital
Signature Framework that supports the binding and analysis of documents by enabling
a wide range of eSignature methods to meet the needs of the modern enterprise.
Most companies today need to have documents signed in a branch setting, in the field,
over the internet, and even through their call centers and IVR. Sign-it provides
this capability without major custom application development or modification to
most legacy systems. By providing a common Ceremony interface to multiple signature
methods and multiple capture devices, Sign-it provides an enterprise-class eSignature
solution enabling a truly paperless process.
Features:
- Signature Ceremony: Enforces digital evidence(Who, What, Where,
When, Why, etc.) collection to support the eSignature.
- Multi-Modal Signature: Modular support of different signature types
to properly match the signing event's environment and value.
- Form Design Support: The signing behavior of the signature field
can be designed into the PDF form logic. This ensures expected signing Ceremony
process when the signature area is being signed.
- Text Field Interaction: Text data can be imported form fields(i.e.
Name) into the signature event and also exported out to form fields(i.e. Date) to
expedite the signing process.
- Sequential Signing: Signing multiple signature within a PDF can
be chained together to ensure that all signature fields are signed. Sequential Signing
signatures across multiple PDFs in a PDF Package/Portfolio are also supported.
- Secure: Uses Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA-1), 3DES encryption and
digital signatures(if signer does not provide a certificate, a self-sign certificate
is auto generated).
- Flexible: Protects any type of document. (PO, Time-cards, expense
reports and more).
- Audit: Tracks the history of the document with regard to name,
date, time, reason for signing and changes.
- Portable: Once signed, the signature is inserted and bound to the
document. The PDF and signature are kept together.
- Verified Signature: Using CIC's SignatureOne Profile Server, an
enterprise can manage eSignature profiles to apply Password based Signature Stamps
or Dynamically Verified Handwritten Signatures onto the PDF as one of the
support signature methods. (requires:
SignatureOne)
- Biometrics: Award Winning Dynamic Signature Verification of handwritten
signatures. Forensic level biometric data can be extracted for the captured handwritten
signature to be analyzed by a forensic handwriting specialist.
- Signature Validation: Sign-it follows the standard PDF digital
signing process. The integrity of the digital signing can be checked using the standard
default signature handler. Optionally, a free view-only plug-in,
Sign-it Viewer for Acrobat, is available for Acrobat &
Reader. This seamlessly validates the signatures and can view extended eSignature
Ceremony data.
